What is the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association
Cleveland Dragon Boat Association
Mission:
To Promote the Synergy of Community, Health and Team building through the Sport of Dragon Boat Paddling in Northeast Ohio, foster a greater sense of community on the Cuyahoga River and in Cleveland, promote cross-cultural awareness and support the health and wellness of people of all ages, races, cultures, and abilities.
The Cleveland Dragon Boat Association was formed in 2007 at a non profit 501-C3, as a way to introduce the sport of dragon boat paddling to Cleveland and surrounding areas. Dragon Boat paddling is the fastest growing water team sport in the world and we have it right here in Cleveland, Ohio! Through the generosity of Metroparks, the CDBA is able to be located at its Merwin's Wharf site where our boats are launched and equipment is housed. The CDBA is governed by Board of Officers and Members that meet monthly. All are volunteers dedicating their time and passion to promoting this water sport and the mission of the CDBA.
